MyAbans (operated by Abans PLC, PV 5301 PB/PQ) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the MyAbans mobile application. By using the App, you agree to the terms described here.

Information We Collect

We only collect what's needed to make the app work well for you.

Personal Info
Name, email, phone number & address for account setup.
Financial Info
Purchase history & payment details for in-app transactions.
Location
Approximate location to personalise your experience.
Messages
Emails for support, updates & notifications.
Photos
Photos you upload for your profile or digital card.
Files & Docs
Files you share through the app as part of your account.
We never collect more than what's needed. Your data is yours — we just help you use the app better.
How We Use Your Information

Everything we collect is used to give you a better experience — nothing more.

  1. Set up and manage your account so you can log in easily.
  2. Process your payments and keep a record of your purchases.
  3. Show you location-relevant content and features within the app.
  4. Send you important emails like updates, receipts, and support replies.
  5. Display the photos and files you've added to your profile.
  6. Send push notifications for order updates and app alerts via Firebase.
  7. Keep the app running smoothly and fix issues when they arise.
  8. Comply with legal requirements and keep your account secure.
We do not sell or share your personal information with advertisers or third-party marketers — ever.
Third-Party Services

To keep the app running reliably, we use the following trusted third-party services. Each may process some of your data on our behalf:

All third-party providers are bound by strict data agreements and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

We take the security of your data seriously. Here's how we keep it safe:

  • All data is encrypted — both when stored and when it travels between your device and our servers.
  • Payment information is handled with industry-standard secure processing. We never store your full card details.
  • Your photos and files are kept on protected servers, accessible only to you.
  • Only a small number of authorised team members can access data, and only when needed to keep the app running.
Data Retention

We keep your data only for as long as it's needed:

  • Account data is retained while your account is active and deleted within 30 days of a verified deletion request.
  • Purchase history is kept for legal, tax, and warranty compliance purposes.
  • Photos and files you upload are removed when you delete them or close your account.
  • Push notification tokens are removed when you uninstall the app or withdraw consent.
  • You can request full deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
Sharing & Disclosure

We don't share your data freely. The only situations where we may share it are:

  • When we're legally required to — for example, by a court order or regulation.
  • To keep you and others safe, or to protect the integrity of the app.
  • With trusted service partners (like cloud or payment providers) who help run the app — they're bound by strict data agreements.
  • With your organisation's administrators if you access the app through a company account.
Your Rights

You're in control of your data. You can:

  • View all the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct anything that's wrong or out of date.
  • Request that we delete your account, data, photos, and files.
  • Ask for a copy of your data in a portable format.
  • Opt out of push notifications at any time via your device settings.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time where we rely on it to process your data.

Cookies & Tracking

The app may use cookies or similar tools to remember your preferences and help us understand how people use the app — so we can keep improving it. Your location is only used when a feature actually needs it, not to track where you go.

We never use tracking for advertising without asking you first.
Children's Privacy

MyAbans is designed for adults and working professionals. We do not knowingly collect any personal information — including photos, files, or payment details — from anyone under the age of 13. If you believe a child has shared information with us, please contact us and we'll remove it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time as the app evolves. When we do, we'll update the effective date and post the new version inside the app. If you keep using the app after an update, that means you're happy with the changes.
